2. General Terms of Community Membership
2.1. Provision of Service & Our Commitment
Your membership grants you access to our non-profit community advocacy platform. We commit to providing our services with reasonable care and skill. Our services empower you to: submit consumer complaints via our secure system; participate in collective actions; and receive important consumer protection alerts.
2.2. Your Declarations & Responsibilities
You confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and that all information you provide is true and accurate. You agree to use the platform in good faith and are solely responsible for your own conduct, ensuring it does not infringe upon the rights of third parties or violate any laws. Accurate personal information is essential for the credibility and legality of our collective advocacy efforts.
2.3. Liability
You agree to use the Adhoc Support CIC platform at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adhoc Support CIC excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct. This does not affect your statutory rights.
2.4. Intellectual Property
All trademarks on this website not owned by or licensed to Adhoc Support CIC are acknowledged. Unauthorised use of this website's content may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
3. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
In accordance with UK and EEA consumer regulations, you have the right to cancel this Agreement within 14 calendar days from the date of signing, without giving any reason.
How to Cancel: To exercise your right to cancel, you must send a clear statement of your decision (e.g., an email) to us at support@adhocsupport.org before the cancellation period has expired.Refund: If you cancel within the 14-day period, we will reimburse the full membership fee to you without undue delay, and not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
Your privacy is central to our mission. We are legally required to provide you with the following summary under applicable data protection laws, including the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .
Purpose & Lawful Basis: We process your personal data as it is necessary for the performance of this contract (under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).Data Controller: Adhoc Support CIC is the Data Controller. Our Data Protection Officer is Mr. Geza Koczian (dataprotection@adhocsupport.org ).Data Storage & Transfers: Your data is stored securely in Germany (EEA) and is never transferred outside of the UK/EEA. Your Rights: You have rights to access, rectify, and erase your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO for UK members).

5. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. This choice of law does not deprive EEA residents of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. If a dispute cannot be resolved through mutual discussion, you have the right to initiate legal proceedings before a competent court.
